State of the Art Equipment
Air Monitors utilizes state of the art, remote, air quality monitoring equipment.

Welcome to Air Monitors, Inc.
Air Monitors, Inc. (AMI) was founded to help protect both communities and companies from hazards that come through the air we breathe. Our company uses state-of-the-art equipment and professional people to measure the airborne contamination that occurs at chemical spills, industrial sites and demolition projects. The information we provide is used to protect individuals, neighborhoods and workers from exposure to harmful chemicals. And in our litigious society, our data can also help protect manufacturers who use chemicals responsibly, from the burden of litigation.
Founded to help protect both
communities and companies
AMI is an emergency responder, and available 24-7-365. Our headquarters is in Detroit, and from there we respond either by land or air to environmental emergencies anywhere in the U.S. Our MSA Safe Site system is capable of detecting 700 different Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) in the air. It measures the presence of oxygen, carbon monoxide and the Lower Explosion Limit (LEL) of gases. It is capable of detecting chemical warfare agents, as well as nuclear threats.
Our capabilities are also deployed in more traditional circumstances. At demolition sites, we measure the amount of dust in the air. We can also measure components of the dust, including metals and many other elements and compounds that can become a hazard both on site and off. Our sampling abilities include bulk, wipe and liquids, looking for, PCB, metals, and other toxic substances.
In many industrial and manufacturing processes, it is virtually impossible to eliminate all air emissions. Recognizing this, standards have been set to determine the safe exposure limits for both workers and surrounding communities. Our equipment can provide a legally defensible data set.
This same data can be used at environmental remediation sites, where the potential for catastrophic releases is high. On this type of deployment, we input weather data, chemistry and GPS coordinates to give real time mapping of any plume of contamination in the air. We use the same mapping software as the majority of government agencies, NOAA's Aloha, and deploy our own weather station to overcome local vagaries.
